Interactive Intelligence's Status as a 'Need to Know Vendor' Validated

Interactive Intelligence, a global provider of unified business communications (UC) solutions for contact center automation, enterprise IP telephony and business process automation, has been named by Computer Reseller News (CRN) as one of its top 25 unified communications and VoIP vendors on its “Need to Know Vendor” list.

CRN, an online provider of educational resources, bases its top 25 “Need to Know Vendors” list on evidence of each vendor’s long-established unified communications (UC) practices and wide range of UC and IP-PBX products sold through a comprehensive indirect channel.

Commenting on Interactive Intelligence’s inclusion in this year’s list, CRN Editor Chad Berndtson said, “Releasing its first ‘all-in-one’ communications software suite back in 1997, Interactive Intelligence is no rookie when it comes to offering a complete UC solution.”

He commented as well on the extensiveness of Interactive Intelligence’s unified communications product suite.

“The company’s UC suite, which is offered by more than 300 resellers worldwide, includes everything from contact center automation and enterprise IP telephony functionality, to business process automation.”

Reacting to the news of its inclusion in CRN’s list top 25 “Need to Know Vendors,” Interactive Intelligence Chief Marketing Officer Joe Staples was quoted as saying, “We designed our unified all-in-one IP communications software suite to give resellers a competitive advantage by offering their customers a more cost-effective, easier to manage system.”

He continued, “In addition, our suite’s flexible customization options enable resellers to design a solution that best meets their customers’ unique needs.”

In their list of “Need to Know Vendors” in the unified communications and VoIP vendor space, CRN’s editors wrote: “You'll notice that we have focused our attention more on those vendors with on-premises offerings and from the more traditional IP-PBX and VoIP equipment worlds than telecom, as-a-service and cloud providers, with full understanding that the lines between what constitutes an IT networking vendor in the UC/VoIP arena and what constitutes a UC/VoIP service provider are blurrier than ever.”

Interactive Intelligence’s solutions can be deployed via an on-premises or communications-as-a-service (CaaS) hosted model.

Interactive Intelligence is no stranger to recognition for its accomplishments. The company is among Software Magazine’s 2010 Top 500 Global Software and Services Suppliers, and Forbes Magazine’s 2010 Best Small Companies in America. Interactive Intelligence is also positioned in the leaders’ quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Contact Center Infrastructure, Worldwide report, Feb. 22, 2010.

In other news, ContactCenterSolutions reported that Unitus Community Credit Union, which serves over 72,000 members, announced it selected the Interactive Intelligence's Customer Interaction Center, an all-in-one IP communications software suite, for use in the organization.
