New relationships can open up new revenue streams. That is what Jenne, a value-added distributor of communications, data networking and IT security products, is currently focusing on. The company recently signed an agreement with DATEL Software Solutions, a developer of contact center and call accounting applications.

In a statement, Vince Piccolomini, vice president of business development at Jenne, said that by partnering with DATEL, the company is creating an opportunity for its VoIP resellers to integrate contact center technologies into the overall voice and data network.

Piccolomini believes that this could create the potential for new avenues of income for those VARs, while presenting a simple, unified solution for the end-user.

DATEL has been offering cost-effective contact center solutions that provide sophisticated features such as real-time call monitoring, detailed live agent capabilities, and historical reporting for call centers in a multitude of verticals. The company has well established in the telephony software marketplace for more than a decade, providing a comprehensive range of solutions from simple accounting software to complex call center management packages.

"Jenne is renowned as the go-to distributor for the VoIP marketplace, so we're thrilled to be working with them," Dan Lemke, principal of DATEL stated.

"As a DATEL distribution partner, Jenne will be able to deliver a more complete array of VoIP-based solutions, allowing its reseller community to drive higher revenues, while helping DATEL penetrate a wider base of contact center environments. We feel this will be an important and fortuitous relationship for both companies," Lemke added.

DATEL is a long-time partner of Allworx and Avaya, both Jenne manufacturer partners, and its solutions integrate seamlessly with Avaya IP Office, Avaya Aura Communication Manager and other products. DATEL believes that through this partnership with Jenne, the company can make a synergistic addition to Jenne's overall portfolio.

"Our Avaya and Allworx business partners will be especially excited to learn they can source DATEL's applications from Jenne, their trusted distribution partner. Our expertise in telephony, combined with this new relationship with DATEL, will help our customers make a smooth entrance into the growing contact center niche," confirmed Piccolomini of Jenne.
