Altitude Software Signs Partnership with Alcatel-Lucent

Lisbon, Portugal-based Altitude Software, a provider of unified customer interaction solutions, is reportedly partnering with networking and communications giant Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise to be the strategic provider of key software solutions for Alcatel-Lucent's customer service solutions for the enterprise market. The partnership will involve Altitude providing its Altitude uCI (unified customer interaction) software suite to Alcatel-Lucent to better enable it to deliver unified interaction management solutions that are open, easy to run and can be delivered as a product or as a service, said the two companies.


The resulting customer service solutions will be available through a global network of 2,200 Alcatel-Lucent business partners serving more than 500,000 customers in 130 countries and represents a broad opportunity for Altitude Software, said the company.

"The global strategic alliance with Alcatel-Lucent will expand our product offering, boost our sales and marketing strategy, expand our market reach, and strengthen our ability to support organizations" said Gastão Taveira, Altitude Software's CEO, in a statement on the company’s Web site. "Altitude Software has a great track record delivering outstanding business results in thousands of contact centers that require agile software solutions to unify agent desktop tools, achieve true multimedia blending and provide real time analytics for businesses."

Altitude’s uCI suite enables users to manage all customer interactions -- voice, VoIP, e-mail, SMS/MMS, fax, messaging or Web media -- in a unified contact center environment. Alcatel-Lucent says the new partnership is a way to meet the needs of customers looking for next-generation contact center solutions.
