New Call Center Available for Tri-City Medical Center Patients

Tri-City Medical Center announced the launch of their new 24/7 informational call center on Wednesday.

Their new Tri-City Health Link call center allows new and old patients to receive free information from specially trained advisors on finding a physician, updated information on groups/events/classes, information on services offered at Tri-City and help with making appointments with doctors.


Additionally, the Tri-City Health Link call center has a line dedicated to the Spanish-speaking community as well as a multilingual support option on the English line for San Diego’s other communities.

Currently, Tri-City Medical Center has over 500 physicians practicing in 60 specialties and 397 beds available to patients. The medical center serves San Diego County’s coastal communities of Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista.

San Diego is one of 17 communities in the United States which was selected by the Federal Government in improving health care through health IT.

Tri-City Medical Center is part of a collaborative called the San Diego Beacon Community whose federal funds are currently managed through the University of California, San Diego. It is defined as a cooperative agreement to improve patient care, safety and efficiency through health IT in San Diego, as reported in an earlier article on ContactCenterSolutions.com.

In 2010 the medical center was recognized by Mercury Insurance Group, leading automobile insurance company, for their work on preventive treatment towards breast cancer. The insurance group awarded Tri-City Medical a $10,000 check to serve as seed money for the purchase of state-of-the-art breast biopsy equipment.
