HP expands consulting services to administer enterprise-class transformation projects for telecom customers

HP recently introduced an extended set of consulting services which aims to help telecom companies to transform their businesses to improve the customer experience, streamline operations and accelerate service creation. Also, HP declared a recent customer win at a global communications service provider (CSP) named Magyar Telekom which claims to be the largest CSP of Hungary.


The HP Solution Consulting Services portfolio (HP SCS) appreciably helps the CSPs to design and administer enterprise-class transformation projects. Also, HP has added new consulting capabilities, employed more consultants and improved its core methodology with proficiency gained in recent transformation projects. In addition, it provides CSPs with the flexibility to choose, unite, and modify facilities to meet vital business objectives.

Teresa Schlegelmann, the director of Communications and Media Solutions, HP, said, "CSPs that commit to transformation can realize measurable benefits with HP SCS. HP's rare combination of network and IT expertise gives us a deep understanding of how to make transformation work."

The Magyar Telekom Group occupied HP to convert its business structure, processes and technologies. HP's SCS consultants redesign the way services are provisioned as well as they interface standardization. Also, they help to integrate application and manage the overall project.

After consultation with Magyar Telekom, HP developed a single, consolidated platform, called SPA that uses HP Service Activator to automate key processes and workflows. The solution is made available for new IP services and the Magyar Telekom is planning to extend it to the rest of its services portfolio. This flexible platform is very efficient and cost effective. Also, it has laid the foundation for an all-inclusive service management layer that will connect all OSS elements into the platform's framework.
