Magic Software's iBOLT Credited For AeroScout Integration

September 23, 2008

Magic Software Enterprises, a vendor of application platforms, and business and process integration products, has announced that Magic Software Israel and Blat Lapidot have completed an application integration project for AeroScout, a vendor of Unified Asset Visibility products.

The project was accomplished using Magic Software's iBOLT business integration suite -- "specially adapted for integrating Salesforce.com," company officials say.

The product is designed to facilitate the bi-directional flow of mission-critical information between the company's subscription-based Salesforce.com CRM system and their various on-premise IT systems, including the Priority ERP system and others.

According to Ran Shalev, chief financial officer of AeroScout, one advantage of iBOLT was "the ability to connect the business services that we receive from Salesforce.com to the operational systems that we operate on the premises of the company."

Magic Software's iBOLT business integration suite is described by company officials as "straightforward, code-free and can integrate on-demand CRM applications such as Salesforce.com with other enterprise business applications."

In May, Magic Software announced the availability of iBolt for Salesforce.com. The iBolt business integration suite was then available for Salesforce users, letting them share data between Salesforce and the customer's other business applications.

Using a code-free, wizard-based interface, the product lets companies merge customer data across all on-premise applications, including "accounting, ERP, supply chain management, human resource management system, logistics and more," company officials say.

The product can be used for companies to integrate the data and business processes between on-premises operations and finance systems and on-demand Salesforce applications. It can be used to automate business processes, including the conversion of lead data into sales orders, item list synchronization and customer list synchronization.

There are also forecast e-mail alerts, single view of customer purchase history and link of e-commerce sales data into sales ledger / forecasts as well a data cleansing and connectivity to business industry databases captured lead data funneled directly into Salesforce.com, with ROI calculation per campaign, and real-time monitoring of telemarketing activity.

Last fall, Magic Software announced a grant of its iBolt and eDeveloper software to Penn State University, to be used on more than 120 servers for courses beginning with the fall semester 2007.
