WNS Philippines to Handle Inbound Calls for T-Mobile UK

September 04, 2008

WNS Philippines has reportedly signed a Letter of Intent with T-Mobile, one of the world’s largest mobile operators, to provide customer care for its UK-based customers.

In addition to handling inbound customer calls for T-Mobile UK’s prepaid subscribers, WNS Philippines will support a full spectrum of customer care services ranging from price plan inquiries to handset issues such as lost, stolen or faulty phones, said the company. Under the agreement, the contact center staff will also be responsible for managing queries on promotions, charges and credits and roaming, and inform customers about the range of subscription benefits.

According to T-Mobile UK’s Customer Services Director, Russell Taylor, their company is recognized for their superior customer service, and by leveraging the capabilities of WNS Philippines, they will take their customers’ experience to the next level.

T-Mobile is committed to ensuring that their customers receive the best care at all times and has chosen WNS Philippines as their partner because they bring a deep understanding of customer needs, have a track record of operational excellence and most importantly, are aligned to their values.

WNS Philippines is confident that their team will deliver the high standards of customer service that T-Mobile is known for, according to Victor Endaya, ACS president and CEO of WNS Philippines. He believes T-Mobile UK’s vote of confidence also affirms the Philippines as the customer care destination of choice.

WNS Philippines is a joint venture between WNS Global Services and Advanced Contact Solutions (ACS), a global contact services provider, based in Manila, Philippines to offer contact center services to global clients across a full range of industries.

With 17.1 million customers, the T-Mobile network is one of Britain’s largest, providing coverage to 99 percent of the UK population.

According to a recent article by President and Editor-in-Chief of ContactCenterSolutions, Rich Tehrani, global companies and especially those based in the U.S. have been steadily hiring Philippine call center agents. Philippines appears to be making efforts to ensure that they
replace India and other countries as a leading call center destination.
