Mitel, a global provider of unified communications and collaboration (UCC) software, solutions and services that enable organizations to conduct business anywhere and over any medium with the device of their choice, has appointed Chuck Krogman as U.S. vice president of contact center sales.
Krogman joins Mitel after more than 13 years in sales for ShoreTel, where he most recently led the vertical markets team.
Officials with Mitel said that reporting into executive vice president of sales for the Americas Joe Vitalone, Krogman is positioned to further grow Mitel's contact center business.
The contact center is a strategic area of investment and growth for Mitel along with cloud solutions.
"We believe that customer-facing solutions, such as the contact center, have emerged as a top IT priority for organizations looking to build customer loyalty and grow their business. This represents a tremendous opportunity for Mitel," said Joe Vitalone, in a statement.
Vitalone said that Chuck Krogman is one of the most respected and effective people in the industry, recently named among the 'People You Need to Know' in media.
“He is leading our contact center charge as we look to build on our momentum and become even more competitive. In fact, he's hit the ground running and we are already seeing positive results,” Mitel said.
Krogman said that today's leading companies are focused on delivering immersive customer experiences that attract new customers and build loyalty.
He said that Mitel knows how to empower organizations with solutions that engage their customers to create competitive advantage.

Earlier in November, Nortech announced that it has launched new cloud communications and collaboration solutions with Mitel in Scandinavia.
Based on Mitel's MiCloud technology, the white label service is now available to resellers, systems integrators and carriers in Sweden and Norway with plans to expand into other Scandinavian markets.
