CRM for Wineries Purchased by RadCru from eWinery

March 27, 2008

EWinery Solutions, a vendor of winery e-commerce software and services, has announced it has entered into a marketing and technology licensing agreement with RadCru, a winery direct marketplace featuring wine offerings direct to the consumer from the winery.

Under the terms of the agreement, eWinery Solutions' eCommerce Platform, CRM, Content Management and Checkout will be incorporated into RadCru's winery direct marketplace.

"EWinery Solutions and their management team have built a profitable, world-class technology platform focused solely on the wine industry that nicely complements our direction and provides excellent functionality and services at a reasonable cost," said Cornelius Geary, Founder and CEO of RadCru. "After we met with eWinery Solutions and explained our needs we realized we had found a very capable company with a management team we could really trust."

As part of the agreement, both companies will market each other's product offerings to their respective winery partners and will collaborate on numerous marketing initiatives that will grow their respective brands and portfolio of clients.

"We design and develop our wine e-commerce software to be easy to use, full of relevant functionality, and cost effective," said Dick Kline, founder and CEO of eWinery Solutions. "The Wine 2.0 space is particularly exciting for our company as it represents the opportunity to participate in the growing segment of younger consumers and innovative wineries."

It sells Web content management, CRM, wine club and Internet marketing products.

Last summer eWinery Solutions reached an agreement with Australia-based interactive marketing agency Joss Media where Joss will be the Australia and New Zealand licensing agent for eWinery's Content Management System (CMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), eCommerce, and Wine Club Management tools.

EWinery's clientele includes a diverse selection of wineries, from small boutique brands to some of the largest wine companies in the world. The company also provides commercial services to a number of third party wine retailers, including publications, gourmet retailers and non-profits.

Richard Kline, President and CEO of eWinery, said the appointment of Joss Media is a step towards "building our brand presence throughout Australia and New Zealand. The economics of the direct-to-consumer model are extremely compelling."

Kline expects the Internet to play "a strategic role" in the growth of the Australian wine industry through 2025, citing information from the Winemakers Federation of Australia and the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation.
