AsiaInfo Develops Business Support System for China Mobile in Henan Province

AsiaInfo has signed a contract with Henan Mobile, a subsidiary of China Mobile, to develop its Business Operation Support Systems (BOSS).

 
AsiaInfo will deploy its OpenBOSS solution, which complies with China Mobile's latest BOSS 3.0 specifications and can support approximately 40 million subscribers. Through this project, a total of 10 China Mobile subsidiaries will employ AsiaInfo's BOSS solutions.
 
Steve Zhang, AsiaInfo's president and chief executive officer expressed his company’s excitement to increase market share within the China Mobile market and extend  geographic reach into Henan Province.
 
Zhang explained that AsiaInfo's BOSS solutions offer operators reliable, scalable features that accommodate increasing subscriber growth and provide the flexibility needed to adapt to rapidly changing end-user demands. The company’s innovative, best-of-class products enable the evolution of China's telecom industry, and this contract further enhances their position as the leading provider of telecom software and service solutions in the world's largest telecom market.
 
Located in eastern central China, Henan is the most populous province in China with a total of 31 million mobile subscribers and a mobile phone penetration rate of 31 percent.
 
AsiaInfo Holdings is a provider of high- quality telecom software solutions and IT security products and services to some of China's largest enterprises as well as many small and medium sized companies in China. Earlier this month the company signed a contract with China Mobile to expand its Business Operation Support System (BOSS) in China's Inner Mongolia.
