Cedar Point Communications Names Curt Hockemeier Interim CEO

Cedar Point Communications, an integrated VoIP
switching technology provider for the service provider and enterprise telecommunications industries, has announced that Curt Hockemeier, a member of the company’s board of directors and a veteran telecommunications executive, has been named interim CEO following the departure of Andy Paff as President and CEO. The board of directors will be retaining an executive search firm to execute a quest for a permanent replacement.

. It also supports up to 200,000 lines of capacity in less than a cubic yard of space. The system is now being deployed by a variety of new customers, including CLECs, ILECs, wireless operators, as well as a number of campus environments.
Ruce Sachs, general partner at Charles River Ventures, and a Cedar Point board member, said, “Curt has the background and experience to continue to drive the company forward. I also want to thank Andy for his many contributions to the company.”
For the past five years, Hockemeier has been a member of the Cedar Point Communications board of directors. Hockemeier holds a B.J. Degree from the University of Missouri and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. He is the former President and CEO of Arbinet-thexchange, the world's largest electronic exchange for telecommunications services.
Under Andy Paff, Cedar Point became one of the leading worldwide suppliers of VoIP switching equipment to the cable industry. The industry has increased the adoption of residential VoIP services.
