January 07, 2008

Storis Management Systems, a vendor of retail management products and services for home furnishing retailers, has announced that Finger Furniture Company has selected the Vision R8 Retail Solution platform for use at all six Finger retail locations, in addition to their Ashley Home Stores.

Larry Hogue, CFO for Finger Furniture Company, said the product is expected to help the furniture retailers improve their processing, analytics, and reporting and overall operations.

Finger Furniture Company will also deploy several Vision R8 Companion Products including Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence products, eSTORIS suite of eCommerce products, RF Barcode, iCALL: STORIS' Automated Consumer Contact System, Red Prairie WMS Interface, and more.

Vision R8 is real-time system integrating such retail operations as Order Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Intelligence Analytics, CRM, Financial Management and eCommerce.

In November Storis, which kind of specializes in products for big ticket retailers, announced the availability of its newest Vision R8 product, Executive Vision.

"At the foundation of Vision R8 lies a real-time system that integrates all the essential aspects of retail operations, from Sales Order Management and Inventory Management, to Business Intelligence tools, Merchandising and CRM," company officials said at the time.

With its graphical 360-degree display of analytical data, Executive Vision "serves as a single customizable gateway to a company's information, enabling vast amounts of data to be displayed into manageable, actionable analytics," according to the Storisians.

The product configures business information within graphically enhanced displays such as odometers, gauges, and graphs, using portal and docking technology. Included is the ability to view a filterable grid display which the user can use to click and drill down to specific detailed contents. Because this acts as a portal by way of extracting information, the user can access data from various sources.
