Nonprofit CRM Vendor Kintera Says 'Kintera Connect' Now Available

October 15, 2007

CRM for nonprofits vendor Kintera has announced that Kintera Connect, the company's open application integration platform, is available for clients and partners to integrate directly with Kintera technology.

Kintera has partnered with nearly 30 industry firms in both the enterprise and nonprofit technology sectors to develop new products to the challenges organizations face. As an example, FreeCause provides customizable browser toolbars to help nonprofits stay at the forefront of supporters' minds.

Integrating with Kintera CRM, Kintera clients using the FreeCause toolbar can use the segmentation data housed in Kintera's platform to segment their audience and provide tailored information and messages to constituents via the FreeCause toolbar. For example, geographic information such as where supporters live would enable an organization to send broadcast information about specific regional events only to the relevant audience using the nonprofit-branded toolbar.

Unlike client/server or hosted ASP environments, Kintera's multi-tenancy "enables all clients and applications to share one centrally maintained common infrastructure and code base," company officials say, adding that Kintera's multi-tenancy "also provides consistent APIs, which means that Kintera partners can develop an application integrated with Kintera technology once and offer it repeatedly to other clients."

Last month Kintera announced the addition of bswift, Masterworks, and CircleUp to the Kintera Connect Partner Program. Applications to be integrated with Kintera's platform include software and services for human resources and benefits technology, advanced data analytics, and social communication services.

"Because Kintera and Masterworks both serve Christian organizations and provide complementary products and services, the decision to join the program was simple," said Lee Wilhite, senior vice president of client services for Masterworks, a full-service marketing and development agency serving Christian organizations. "With our analytics and Kintera's Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) application reporting, nonprofits will be able to gather more detailed information on constituent behavior to enhance and tailor their marketing efforts to achieve greater results."

In early September Kintera announced that EZ Prints, a private-label digital photofinishing, fulfillment and technology products firm, has joined the Kintera Connect Partner Program as a merchant partner.

EZ Prints is the latest partner to join the Kintera Connect Partner Program, which is comprised of partners in both the nonprofit and enterprise sectors integrating with Kintera's open technology platform.

The firm will enable nonprofits to offer digital photo sharing and print fulfillment services directly from their event Web site, providing branding for fundraising participants. With a wide range of relevant operational, technical, photofinishing and digital expertise, EZ Prints is able to offer a broad selection of photo merchandise.
