October 04, 2007

SYS Technologies has landed a new contract with a potential value of up to $2.0 million for its flagship network management product, NeuralStar, and network engineering services from a new customer, which is an undisclosed agency of the United States Federal Government.

The $1.6 million initial contract award includes software license fees, maintenance and services with an additional $0.4 million of optional maintenance for future years.

SYS points out that the agency chose NeuralStar for its unique ability to aggregate network performance and event activity across a wide array of complex networking infrastructure and provide a common operational picture for network operators and managers.

“We are excited that yet another agency within the United States Federal Government selected NeuralStar to manage their mission critical infrastructure,” said Cliff Cooke, CEO of SYS Technologies in a statement.

Cooke said that the rise of net-centric applications and converged networks are driving increased demand for network management solutions. Agencies faced with the complexity of integrating, voice, video, and data across wired, wireless, and satellite infrastructure are increasingly looking at NeuralStar as the product and platform of choice to provide consolidated visualization and actionable intelligence for their net-centric application infrastructure. He believes that this award exemplifies the ability of their product to enable large enterprise-level sharing of information broadly and quickly.

SYS is a provider of information connectivity solutions that capture, analyze and present real-time information to their customers in the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, other government agencies and to commercial companies.
