Oracle Acquires Netsure Telecom Limited

Oracle, a leading enterprise software company, recently disclosed its intention to acquire Netsure Telecom Limited, a premier supplier of network intelligence, analytics, and network data integrity software.


Netsure supplies highly sophisticated network intelligence and analytics software to its esteemed clientele, comprising of tier one operators such as, Vodafone, Cable & Wireless and Eircom. Its critical network intelligence software renders efficacy to operations, facilitating optimization of current and next-generation networks and services.

Bhaskar Gorti, senior vice president and general manager at Oracle, said in a statement, "The addition of Netsure's products to Oracle's comprehensive communications applications suite is expected to help Oracle's customers improve network utilization, optimize capacity planning and financial modeling, and streamline end-to-end network lifecycle management."

"In conjunction with Oracle's ERP, supply chain, inventory management and network discovery solutions, Oracle plans to provide service providers the ability to improve their network ROI and increase their operational efficiency as they launch, deploy and profit from next-generation IP services," Gorti added.

Barry Murphy, CEO at Netsure, stated, "Oracle has clearly demonstrated its commitment and has become the leader in bringing compelling communications industry applications to the market that are complete, integrated and standards based."

"The combination of Netsure's applications, coupled with Oracle's leading communications portfolio, is expected to provide unmatched and differentiated value to service providers worldwide," Murphy added.

Oracle expects to close the transaction by the end of September 2007 subject to requisite formalities, following which Netsure will integrate into its Communications Global Business Unit, providing advanced communications-critical applications to service global providers.
