Unified IP business communications solutions provider Interactive Intelligence has announced an enhancement to its regional presence with the appointment of Sydney-based Tecala Group as a new channel partner.

Specializing in providing global technology solutions for advanced infrastructure solutions and services, Tecala Group partners with many of the world's best of breed technology vendors in an effort to optimize ICT infrastructure investment in technology stacks such as Unified Communications, virtualization, data storage, application delivery, cloud computing, disaster recovery and infrastructure management.

Tecala Group's managed services division specializes in managing and transforming ICT infrastructure operations. The company will now build out sales, professional services and support teams dedicated the Interactive Intelligence'sproduct portfolio, including software and services for contact centre automation, enterprise IP telephony and business process automation.

'All our partners are committed to offering the most innovative yet practical solutions anywhere for contact centre automation, enterprise IP telephony, enterprise messaging, self-service automation and SIP-supported VoIP,' said Brendan Maree, ANZ Country Manager, Interactive Intelligence, in a statement. 'Tecala Group has superior skills in providing solutions for public and private sector clients which enhance the opportunities provided through the intelligent application of technology while adding value to the business. We are delighted to have them on board.'

Tecala Group has also implemented Interactive Intelligence's technology in-house and undertaken pre-sales training to increasing its own competency in its new partner's offerings. The company will field its own product champions for the Interactive Intelligence line as it pursues sales opportunities with public and private sectors in the 100 to 1,000 seat market.

'We strategically select partners based on their ability to exceed market expectations around customer satisfaction, application innovation and IT governance,' said Gleuto Serafim, Chief Executive Officer, Tecala Group. 'As a best of breed vendor, the feature-rich Interactive Intelligence product portfolio fits our strategy in providing organizations with the ability to enhance their messaging and communications platforms while at the same time complimenting our existing solutions which optimize ICT.'

The all-in-one IP communications software suite was first introduced by Interactive Intelligence in 1997. This standards-based, single-platform architecture with built-in multichannel processing was born of a vision to eliminate the cost and complexity introduced by multi-point products.

'Many vendors can offer communications but Interactive Intelligence is rare in its all in one approach to software integration and customization.  It will enable our customers to obtain a competitive advantage through a superior technology platform,' said Serafim.

Interactive Intelligence announced last fall that it was honored by Frost & Sullivan with the 2009 North American Product Differentiation Award for the vendor's new communications-based process automation solution, Interaction Process Automation, or IPA.

Last week, Interactive Intelligence touted a new win in Langham Logistics as the company decided on Enterprise Interaction Center from Interactive Intelligence over products from Cisco and Mitel.
