Webtrends Releases Webtrends Mobile Analytics

February 08, 2010

Webtrends, an enterprise customer intelligence company, announced that its newly unveiled Mobile Analytics tool helps developers monitor the adoption of their mobile apps and mobile sites and offer near limitless flexibility in terms of data gathered and the depth of analysis presented back to the user.

Developers have the ability to compare their own website analytics with the data provided by this tool and compare them instantaneously to view interactive touchpoints in context with each other.

Officials with Webtrends said that they are proud to introduce their industry’s most powerful and flexible mobile analytics offering, built on the Webtrends Analytics 9 platform. The Webtrends Mobile Analytics provides their customers meaningful insight into the adoption and effectiveness of their mobile assets. Business on the Web is synonymous with business on a mobile device and Webtrends will help developers measure and optimize their mobile assets and applications alongside the rest of their customer intelligence data.

According to the company, some of the key features in the Mobile Analytics are: it offers out-of-the-box insight and limitless potential for user-defined reporting; features a full data collection toolkit that can be easily integrated into users’ app or mobile site; developers can have access to expert consultation; users can generate data to integrate with other systems using standards-based APIs; and enterprise scale analytics to handle any volume of traffic.

Mobile Web sites create a few different challenging business scenarios for marketing teams. Many mobile Web sites are designed, deployed and hosted by third party vendors, which often don’t plan for or de-prioritize analytics. Also, marketing efforts in the mobile arena tend to be disjointed as marketing data is disconnected across various sites and applications.

Company officials said the tool is not one of those mass-market Web analytics solutions that are highly inflexible and provide very shallow insight into the underlying business questions. Their tool offers unlimited measurement capabilities that enable developers to tweak features to work better and help businesses uncover how customers really use the mobile site or app. Developers can also measure the return on their mobile investments.
