Fieldglass Intros Decision Wizard with the New Release of InSite Product Suite

April 15, 2009

Fieldglass has announced its customers are live on the latest, enhanced version of its award-winning InSite software-as-a-service (SaaS) product suite.

Fieldglass is a provider of unified platforms for acquiring contingent workers, service providers and direct hires. Company officials said that the newest functionality reflects the “maturity” of their InSite Services solution to manage project and outsourced spending, and also the underlying benefit of the unified platform.

This latest of release InSite comes with the Decision Wizard, a resource decision support tool. Officials say this tool allows companies to influence the worker composition and guides buyers to the most appropriate engagement type, whether a contingent worker, service provider or direct hire.

The Decision Wizard connects company’s three solutions—InSite Contingent, InSite Services and InSite Recruiter. Officials said that this underscores the importance of and highlighting the power of a single unified platform.

Decision Wizard allows hiring managers attain the best resource for their needs while also proactively driving toward a corporate goal, say officials.

Companies can define high-level objectives such as expanding their contingent workforce for a seasonal adjustment or increasing diversity suppliers. In addition, officials said that they can customize the Decision Wizard's form to assist them in meeting those goals.

Additionally, it also helps reduce misclassified workers. Officials say hourly consultants are masquerading as project workers to bypass headcount restrictions or tenure policies. Officials said that in the initial review, the pilot Fieldglass customer is expected to leverage the Decision Wizard.

“We see the new Decision Wizard as the cornerstone to our unified platform. It will give our customers greater control and visibility across all engagement types and enable them to make more strategic workforce decisions,” said Sean Chou, chief technology officer at Fieldglass.

The company has also worked closely with services procurement customers and partners to take the InSite Services solution to the next level through a series of subtle yet crucial enhancements.

The significant improvements to InSite Services have extended the depth of the solution for managing service categories including projects, consultants, outsourced service providers and offshore work, said officials.
