Interactive Intelligence Recognized as Second Fastest Growing Company in Indianapolis

November 11, 2008

Interactive Intelligence often makes waves in the global industry with its innovative solutions that enable the contact center to operate more effectively and efficiently. Its offerings have often garnered the company recognition from third-party organizations evaluating offerings and ranking companies according to value and performance.

Now, the Indianapolis-based company is being recognized for its growth. The Indianapolis Business Journal ranked the global provider of unified IP business communications solutions the second among its 25 fastest growing Indianapolis-area public companies.

Last year, Interactive Intelligence ranked sixth place in the Journal’s rankings. The company has now achieved this year’s second-place ranking with 75 percent revenue growth from 2005 to 2007 as reported by the IBJ in its September 22 supplement profiling the honorees.

"Our IBJ ranking is especially meaningful now because it underscores our sustained success in the midst of some challenging economic conditions," said Interactive Intelligence Founder and CEO, Dr. Donald Brown, in a Tuesday statement.

"We compete effectively on a global basis with companies hundreds of times our size. Our 75 percent growth rate -- up from 51 percent last year based on the 2004 to 2006 period -- demonstrates not just our corporate viability, but the value our solutions bring as customers face increasing pressure to improve operational efficiencies and retain customers,” Dr. Brown added.

This was not the only accolade for Interactive Intelligence this year. The company was also named one of FORTUNE Small Business Magazine’s fastest growing public companies. BusinessWeek named Interactive Intelligence as a 2008 “Hot Growth 50” company.

Indianapolis Business Journal began its fastest-growing companies ranking in 2001 and includes separate rankings for both the fastest growing public and private companies in the Indianapolis area.

Interactive Intelligence is a global provider of unified business communications solutions for contact center automation, enterprise IP telephony and enterprise messaging. The company was founded in 1993 and has more than 3,000 customers throughout the world.

Interactive Intelligence is among Software Magazine's top 500 global software and services suppliers, is ranked among NetworkWorld's top 200 North American networking vendors, is a BusinessWeek "hot growth 50" company, and is among FORTUNE Small Business magazine's top 100 fastest growing companies.

In a struggling economy where many companies are being forced to close locations and eliminate critical jobs, Interactive Intelligence is driving performance and growth. The company has done well to tie into an area of strong opportunity, delivering on its promises to provide the customer with much needed value in their solutions.
