Silverfleet Sells Competence Call Center to ARDIAN

November 22, 2017

Silverfleet Capital has sold Competence Call Center to ARDIAN. The Belin-based CCC is a business process outsourcing providers with ambitions of expansion. That is where ARDIAN comes in.

ARDIAN is no stranger to CCC, as it had invested in the BPO from 2009 through 2013. During the time working together, CCC was able to execute its global expansion initiative while doubling its staff. CCC is hoping to bring that same momentum back starting in 2018.

“Ardian’s team led by Dirk Wittneben and Marc Abadir has a very good understanding of our business model and relevant market drivers. The cooperation we had from 2009 to 2013 was highly successful, and we are convinced that we can continue to build on this success. Thanks to our excellent position in the German-speaking market and a unique customer portfolio containing companies that are leaders in their respective segments, we are well-positioned to acquire new customers and to convince them of the attractiveness of our services,” shared Christian Legat, CEO of CCC.

Legat also went onto thank Silverfleet for supporting CCC throughout the four years of working together. He attributed some of the European expansion to Silverfleet as well as crediting it for its aid in overcoming obstacles during the four-year partnership.

Operating from 18 locations, spanning eight countries with over 5,500 employees, and offering BPO services in 28 languages, CCC is one of the sole remaining European providers. It specializes in calls, digital services that include social media and live chat, and mail, fax, and written correspondence. Silverfleet chose to invest in the company when it needed a German-speaking BPO provider in Europe.

The concept was to keep up with the trend of outsourcing customer care and that led to eight additional CCC operations opening around Germany, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, and Turkey (the DACH region). Silverfleet has long invested in DACH-based companies, with Competence Call Center having been one of its more fruitful ventures.

Joachim Braun, Partner at Silverfleet Capital, had responsibility for Silverfleet’s operations in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.  He noted: “We are delighted with the development of CCC over the last four years and I am pleased that we were able to assist management in successfully executing their growth plan of expanding the footprint of locations, winning new customers and offering a wider range of services. The company is now one of the fastest growing BPO service providers in Europe.”

The agreement for ARDIAN to acquire CCC has been signed and is just awaiting the approval of antitrust authorities.
