Microsoft to Leverage Vonetix 7 Voice Platform to Develop Voice Self-Service Applications

August 23, 2013

The Vonetix 7 Voice platform from Gold Systems is going to assist Microsoft in its efforts to develop voice self-service applications that are to be deployed in the Microsoft Customer Support.

Gold Systems, a Microsoft Corp. Gold Certified Partner and a provider of UC and speech recognition technology, explained that voice applications developed with the help of Vonetix 7 Voice are supposed to serve Microsoft customers calling for support on a wide array of Microsoft products and services.

Terry Gold, chief executive officer at Gold Systems, commented, “We have been working for Microsoft IT, the company’s internal information technology organization, for many years creating software that makes it easier for Microsoft customers, partners and employees to get support by calling 1-800-Microsoft and other support numbers. We are thrilled to now be delivering the Vonetix 7 Voice platform alongside the existing Unified Communications applications.”

According to Gold Systems, the Vonetix 7 Voice is useful for creating enterprise class interactive voice response (IVR) and speech recognition applications and to incorporate them with an organization’s unified communications environment. It is stated to be specifically written from the ground up to integrate with Microsoft unified communications and speech technologies, including the latest release of Microsoft Lync.

Some of the notable benefits of Vonetix 7 Voice are: faster time-to-market; higher quality, pre-hardened code; ‘Push of a button’ portability to other environments; streamlining and simplification of enhancements to existing V7V applications; consistency of application code and reduced errors through the storage of application behavior and configuration in a database; flexibility to utilize future platforms with V7V binding development; and more.

The company added that Vonetix 7 Voice also includes an Application Builder, a new tool that makes it easier for customers to create their own self-service applications. Along with the lack of license fees for third-party speech engines, Vonetix 7 Voice can be very cost effective.
