GFT Markets Voted Best Customer Service in U.K. CFD Industry

Global provider of retail derivatives, GFT Markets, was today ranked by an industry-wide survey of U.K. CFD traders as number one in terms of customer service in the U.K.'s CFD industry. This survey was conducted by Investment Trends, a specialist financial services market research organization.

"As a business we're always keen to differentiate ourselves from the crowd, be that through product innovation or exceptional customer service," said Simon Mansell , CEO of GFT Markets UK, in a statement. "In this increasingly commoditized business, there's no shortage of CFD providers out there who put all the focus on recruiting clients then make little effort to retain them, but this certainly isn't an approach we take."

GFT Markets also received similar customer service recognition from Investment Trends in Singapore, following a similar survey process. Meanwhile, in late November, the company was voted "Best Mobile Platform" in the 2012 Shares Magazine awards. This award too was based on a poll of private investors that asked respondents which financial services providers had excelled in the prior 12 months.

GFT cites its efforts to implement "a series of innovations" over the last year — which have been primarily focused on improving its customer experience — as the reason for its recent successes and awards. One unique effort made by the company was to be the first U.K. CFD provider to launch its trading platform on the Amazon Kindle Fire, a device often overlooked in many industries in favor of the iPad or Android (News - Alert) tablets.

Speaking of which, GFT Markets launched its award winning DealBook trading platform on Android in August. The Android version of DealBook was designed specifically with speed, performance and reliability in mind, allowing it to run on even older Android devices. Furthermore, DealBook for Android also scales well to fit most Android tablets.

DealBook for iPad, meanwhile, was launched in January 2012.
