Avtex Strengthens Global Presence by Acquiring Reliant CCS

May 03, 2012

Integrated interaction solutions provider Avtex recently acquired Reliant CCS, a source of contact center solutions based in Greenville, South Carolina. The acquisition will go a long way in strengthening Avtex's geographic reach by reinforcing their presence in the southeast.

"We are thrilled to have Reliant join our team at Avtex,” said George Demou, President of Avtex. “They share the same passion for technology enabled customer experience solutions and a deep commitment to the key platforms of Interactive Intelligence and Microsoft that we believe are critical to make that happen."

Reliant CCS has, up to now, crafted a strong portfolio of customer service-focused solutions and had recently begun to include Microsoft Lync Unified Communications solutions. This is no doubt quite a boon for Avtex as it will help support the company's recent inclusion into Microsoft's Premier Support for Lync Partnership program which targets leading Microsoft partners around the world in providing support for customers leveraging Microsoft Lync for voice solutions.

"In our industry the Avtex name is synonymous with quality and commitment to success,” said Alan Shaw, President of Reliant CCS. “We at Reliant are excited to become part of an organization that shares our goals, values, and vision for the future."

Avtex also recently expanded its Contact Center optimization portfolio, and launched new Communications Enabled Business Process applications for Unified Communications at the Enterprise Connect industry conference in Orlando, Florida.

The integrated interaction solutions provider enhanced its IT infrastructure capabilities back in March when it acquired the Contact Center and Voice over IP division of Sage Innovations, a technology solutions provider and Interactive Intelligence reseller.

Avtex's acquisition of Reliant CCS was finalized as of May first of this year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
