Wagas Azeem Honored by PTCL as Top Agent

January 20, 2012

Waqas Azeem was recently honored by the Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL) for his contributions to its Lahore Contact Center, specifically in the customer service department.

PTCL provides telephone services nationwide and is considered one of the backbones for the country’s telecommunication services in Pakistan. The company has more than 2,000 locations throughout Pakistan, providing the largest fixed line network.

PTCL President, Walid Irshaid, wrote a letter on PTCL’s website saying the most important thing to him and his company has always been the customers.

“At PTCL, we remain highly conscious of the fact that our success and growth can only come from satisfied customers. It remains our challenge to provide friendly, seamless, and prompt customer service. To this end, we endeavored to embark on several projects intended to bring PTCL closer to its customers,” said Irshaid.

Irshaid said the company has turned it focus to training their representatives on how to deal with responding to all customers in an efficient and timely manner. “Our emphasis has been on shortening cycles for service provision, facilitating bill payments, and making our services readily available to our customers,” said Irshaid.

Irshaid created a program to entice his employees to connect with customers. Part of the PTCL plan is to honor employees who have gone above and beyond their positions at the company’s annual awards ceremony.

Azeem was awarded the title of “Best Performer of Lahore Contact Center” at the ceremony held by the PTCL Lahore Contact Center for his outstanding efforts in customer care and his attention to detail and care for all of the company’s outreach services. To be honored at the award ceremony is pretty substantial with more than 200 people in attendance.

Irshaid said he believes all the attention to detail of his customers should be rewarded and is the reason his company continues to see growth. “We realize that customer satisfaction is a continuous, never ending process and we shall continue with our efforts to interact with our customers to ensure that the services we roll out measure to their full expectation and satisfaction…we strongly believe that PTCL is poised to grow and remain the leading and dominant integrated telecom service provider of choice for customers throughout Pakistan,” said Irshaid.
