VigLink Introduces LinkWeaver to Help Web Publishers Monetize Their Online Content

November 22, 2011

The World Wide Web is getting more and more densely populated with ever increasing number of websites. While this is enriching the online world with latest and varied information about thousands of topics, at the same time it is making it difficult for new and upcoming websites to create a niche for themselves that can fetch them a share of online traffic. It also hinders them from monetizing the potential traffic they could tap, leading the website owners to considerable losses.

New technologies are coming everyday to help the websites tap more online traffic and convert it into a vehicle for earning better revenues. VigLink, a provider of advanced solutions for content monetization for website publishers, has introduced its latest LinkWeaver technology which enables the link insertion tools of VigLink and detects product and merchant references within content in web pages. Further, the technology generates a custom set of simple links on its own that are finally inserted uniquely within each page. With the help of this technology, if a reader wants to know more about a certain product or service or even wants to buy it simultaneously, he will have to simply click over the link without leaving the original webpage, saving the website from the loss of one visitor.

“Historically, when website content compelled a reader to take an action to buy or learn more about a product they read about, they left the website and started a time-consuming search process,” commented Oliver Roup, founder and chief executive officer at VigLink. “The publisher also lost the ability to monetize the reader’s action. LinkWeaver harnesses the reader’s intent that develops while reading content and creates a connection between the reader and the buying opportunities he or she is seeking. This powerful solution aligns with the reader’s growing expectations for how pages should behave and delivers website publishers a substantial new revenue stream.”

VigLink has deployed its automated link affiliation methodology within the development of LinkWeaver, which enables an effective dual approach for content monetization for website publishers and also seamlessly integrates it with the content offered through their websites. At the same time, the solution benefits the readers also as it allows them to the information desired by them at the time they want it.

In May 2011, VigLink partnered with CloudFlare to deliver its content monetization capabilities as a CloudFlare App, which makes sites twice as fast, protects them from attacks, ensures they are always online and makes it simple to add web apps with a single click.
