Law Firm Reports Reduced Costs, Improved Process with Latitude Software's Debt Collection Solution

July 29, 2011

Johnson Mark, a civil litigation law firm specializing in debt collection and creditor rights, which incorporated the debt collection solution from Latitude Software, an Interactive Intelligence Group Inc. company, reports that it has greatly benefited from improved processes and a reduction in costs.

"Latitude's software suite has enabled us to fully automate our debt collection processes, while electronically filing state court records and proceedings,” said Ben Hodgkinson, Johnson Mark's system manager. “This has resulted in reduced costs by using less paper and producing fewer mailings. We've also increased staffing efficiencies by streamlining many manual tasks."

Johnson Mark is using Latitude Center, the company's core product for managing pre- and post-charge-off accounts and the entire collection workflow process. The firm is also using an add-on application, Latitude Exchange, which ensures customer account information is correctly imported and exported from the Latitude system.

Johnson Mark decided to replace its legacy Columbia Ultimate debt collection system with Latitude Center after careful evaluation of other solutions from Cogent, Commercial Legal Software, among other such solutions.

Hodgkinson added, "We selected the Latitude software suite because it offered superior customization and reporting capabilities. Its open architecture enabled us to mold the product around our unique processes, which has been especially beneficial to our firm's litigation practice. We can now more effectively perform skip tracing and asset tracking, as well as provide clients with a cost-per-account analysis."

The Latitude Center has also provided the necessary support to Johnson Mark's collection agents and attorneys in its offices in Idaho and Oregon, as well as at the company's headquarters in Draper, Utah.

"Latitude has gone the extra mile in helping us with customizations and making sure we have access to all the latest features. Such a responsive staff, combined with incredibly flexible and innovative software, has made Latitude an integral part of both our collection and litigation business," Hodgkinson said.
