More Web Sites Enhance Offerings with Conduit Platform

Conduit, a network of Web and mobile app publishers serving more than 260,000 members and 230 million users, announced new list of publishers who have adopted the Conduit Platform.

Conduit president Adam Boyden said in a release, “These last few months have marked incredible growth in the Conduit Network of publishers and users. Our easy-to-use platform is in demand across industries as diverse as professional sports, travel, charities, gaming, education, and medical.  The addition of these offerings from truly global brands speaks volumes about the growing influence and power of Conduit.”


The Conduit Network helps publishers who are global brands or independent developers to create, exchange, and distribute apps, and to collaborate through business partnerships.

Publishers can seamlessly incorporate content and deploy it everywhere from Web browsers and Community Toolbars to mobile devices across all platforms. Publishers will be able to distribute and exchange their apps directly, or through the Conduit App Marketplace

Conduit sources said Travelocity is a company which has completed a travel app with Conduit for vacation packages, flighst, and hotel deals.  Bebo, a large social network, has launched a new toolbar that can port the best features of its Web site to the browser, including video, games, photos and friend updates.  

Also fans of tennis superstar Venus Williams will be able to download her official toolbar to get images, videos and constantly updated news about her from various browsers. 

The Weather Channel, cable’s #1 resource for weather news and information, has also developed an application that provides users with an on-demand look at the weather in their area and beyond, said officials.

AOL Latino, a news resource serving the Latino community, has developed an application to deliver Spanish-language news, sports, entertainment and shopping. Another publisher, Knowledge Adventure, which deals with educational games for kids, leverages Conduit to provide real time progress reports and instant access to some of its popular games.

Stardoll a popular fashion and gaming Web site has launched a new toolbar that allows users to access their Stardollar count and play new games besides offering other features.

BigPoint, High Gear Media, Wetter.com, Hyves, BreakoutBand, GiveBackAmerica have also picked Conduit besides several smaller businesses and Website owners, revealed Conduit sources.

According to officials Conduit Mobile introduced in February 2011 is a complete solution for developing, creating, publishing, promoting, analyzing and managing mobile apps on multiple devices free of cost.

The Conduit App Marketplace is used by other publishers like Major League Baseball, Groupon, Zynga, Fox News and TechCrunch too. Conduit-powered apps improve engagement, retention and monetization beyond a publisher’s Website.
