Vitrue Celebrates Another Record-Breaking Quarter & Key Milestones

Vitrue, a leading provider of social marketing software, has grown significantly due to SaaS software adoption. The company has achieved increased expansion and Vitrue's Social Relationship Management (SRM) platform is used by major companies including McDonald's, P&G brands, Intel, Ford, Chanel, JCPenney, Disney, Best Buy and AT&T, to manage their social marketing communications. Vitrue has also managed sophisticated social communities on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and other platforms.


In a release, the CEO of Virtue, Reggie Bradford, said that, "Vitrue has quite literally grown up with social from the very beginning evolving, innovating, leading and growing tremendously along the way. These past five years have been an incredible ride, and I am extremely bullish on the next five and beyond. Social media marketing will increasingly become more crucial and important for brands. And through our SaaS-based social marketing software the Vitrue SRM platform we are uniquely positioned to help brands harness the expanding power of social across traditional platforms and the emerging platforms and technologies of mobile and beyond."

In April 2006, Virtue was launched in Atlanta, Georgia to focus on consumer-generated video, to help brands develop video-centric communities on the web, and was initialyl funding  by General Catalyst and Reggie Bradford. In October 2006 Virtue received another round of funding from Comcast Interactive Capital and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and Ron Conway announced that he would also be investing in Vitrue. Spring 2008 saw Virtue develop the prequel to the Vitrue SRM platform, the Link Tracker product, as well as the start of their relationship with Facebook, providing brands with the technology to participate in the emerging social network.

The Vitrue Publisher was launched in Spring 2009. Virtue launched Twitter Pages, Wall applications and Tabs in Fall 2009. The first-ever Open Graph publishing platform was released in Spring 2010, and also the Wall apps gained more popularity using Tabs product. Virtue’s API for Agencies and Social Media Developers was launched in the Summer of 2010. In September and October 2010 Virtue started releasing the first in the series of white papers based on Facebook. Virtue closed a $18 million Series C financing deal, started global expansion, and. Mike Murphy was appointed as Special Advisor to the CEO in February 2011. In March 2011 Virtue crossed the 500 Million Fans Managed mark with more than 2,500 Facebook and Twitter accounts in 47 countries. April 2011 saw Virtue sign an agreement for over 2,000 dealerships nationwide with a major automaker, and celebrated its fifth anniversary by beating the records for all the previous Q4 reports across all categories.
