Verizon Wireless Names Russ Preite President of Northern California/Nevada/Hawaii Region


WALNUT CREEK, Calif., June 15, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Verizon Wireless has named Russ Preite president of its Northern California/Nevada/Hawaii Region, replacing Kevin Zavaglia who has been named Senior Vice President Enterprise Sales - Americas, based in Basking Ridge, NJ.



As region president, Preite is based in Walnut Creek, California, and is responsible for the company's sales, operations, financial performance and customer experience in Northern California, Northern Nevada and Hawaii.

"Russ' industry experience and leadership success make him the right person to lead the region," said Greg Haller, Verizon Wireless West Area President.


Most recently, Preite served as president-Upstate New York Region for Verizon Wireless and held previous leadership roles as Director of Retail Sales in the Philadelphia Tri-State Region, Director of Business Sales and Director of Data Sales in the Upstate New York Region. Russ joined Verizon Wireless in 2000 serving in the New England Region's business sales organization.

Preite attended Rhode Island College where he majored in business management.
