Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing Relocates Headquarters

Dec 21, 2011 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing, in conjunction with the Speedway Redevelopment Commission, announced the race team will relocate its motorsports headquarters from Indianapolis to Speedway's Main Street.

"We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing to Main Street," said Vince Noblet, president of the Speedway Redevelopment Commssion. "Sarah [Fisher] saw the potential of the prime, development-ready sites located here on Main Street and has already created an excellent vision for her new facility that is directly in line with the goals of the SRC. The SRC, with Speedway businesses and residents, extend a warm welcome to our newest neighbor." Led by founder and veteran IZOD IndyCar Series driver Sarah Fisher and new team owner Wink Hartman, Sarah Fisher Hartman will build its new, $2.5 million dollar plus facility featuring shop and office space for the race team. The building will encompass space for composite and paint departments along with a fan interactive section, with a retail element. Construction is expected to begin in late February 2012, with completion in early September 2012.

"The excitement in building a new shop in Speedway for SFHR is yet another step in becoming a top tier Izod IndyCar Series team," Hartman said. "The new shop will allow SFHR to control most all aspects necessary to win including engineering, service, expanded machine shop, paint and composites, family friendly home style kitchen and the new SFHR gift shop with an interactive area for the fans to enjoy. On the second floor is the new 2,500 sq. ft. executive style gym and conference room overlooking the shop floor. We are excited to handle most any size party or meeting needs for our sponsors. The new shop will provide our sponsors with a great place to become a real part of the team. Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing's Executive Chef may have our sponsors thinking of trying our executive gym." In December 2011, Fisher announced her partnership with Hartman to form the Sarah Fisher team, including Izod IndyCar Series driver Josef Newgarden and United States Auto Club driver Kyle O'Gara. The team signed Newgarden to pilot the No. 67 entry for SFHR in the 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series season.

"We are so proud of Sarah and all that she has accomplished," said Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. "Now, Indiana's motorsports boom just got a little louder." ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected]))
