CLEVELAND --(Business Wire)--

Dave Johnson (News - Alert) of Johnson Strategic Communications, LLC, has been named the public relations contact for the Cleveland Medical Mart and Convention Center (Cleveland MMCC), an MMPI, Inc. project to be constructed in downtown Cleveland with an expected groundbreaking in fall, 2010 and an opening date in 2013. Johnson will serve as the primary media contact for the Cleveland MMCC project.

Designed to bring buyers and sellers together and located in a city with a world class reputation for health care delivery and research, the Cleveland MMCC is targeted specifically to the healthcare industry, combining showrooms, a Class-A exhibition hall, and state-of-the-art conference facilities tailored to the medical marketplace.

The Cleveland Medical Mart will house approximately 120,000 square feet of permanent showrooms for medical manufacturers and service providers with showrooms focusing on cardiology, surgery, OBGYN, imaging, orthopedics, sterilization, healthcare furnishings, patient care, healthcare IT and medical devices.

The Trade Show Facility will be designed with approximately 300,000 square feet of high-quality exhibit space, featuring high ceilings and industry-standard column spacing. Suited to medical trade shows and conventions, the facility can host simultaneous events and is ideal for events that need to be paired with conferencing capabilities.


The Conference Center will feature approximately 100,000 square feet of high-tech, flexible meeting rooms of varying sizes to accommodate keynote sessions, seminars and panel discussions, the core of medical conferences, meetings and conventions.
