Dell and Ingram Micro Team to Deliver EMR Solutions and Services for Physicians

Dell (News - Alert) announced today an enhanced collaboration with Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM) to expand its channel partner program for delivering electronic medical records (EMR) solutions and services to the physician market.

"Dell's technology and healthcare expertise are a natural fit with Ingram Micro's (News - Alert) existing healthcare portfolio," said Michael Humke, executive director of Vertical Markets and Healthcare, Ingram Micro U.S. "This expanded relationship with Dell will allow our mutual resellers to market, sell, deploy and support a full range of IT solutions that meet the complex needs of physician practices."

Ingram Micro will provide technical, sales and healthcare expertise to Dell solution providers, from initial configuration and quoting through financing and delivery. The company's dedicated healthcare team also will assist Dell solution providers in accessing the full range of resources, including pre-configured IT solutions for medical practices and testing and validation services with Dell's ISV partners.

Dell EMR channel partners will continue to participate in the Dell PartnerDirect program and the EMR Solution Partner Program through which qualifying partners receive exclusive EMR deal registration, Dell EMR Solution Partner branding and access to the Dell Solution Center.
