Jigabot AIMe Wins Videomaker's 'Most Innovative Product Award' at 2014 International CES

HIGHLAND, Utah --(Business Wire)--

Jigabot® today announced that its AIMe® robotic camera auto-framing system won Videomaker's "Most Innovative Product Award" and was named to the leading video production publication's Best of CES (News - Alert) 2014 list.

AIMe was recognized by Videomaker for its versatility and engineering excellence. In addition to the Videomaker award, AIMe was named one of the top five robots announced before CES by Fast Company, capping a highly successful first-time appearance for Jigabot at the international event.

"After eighteen months of working tirelessly to develop AIMe, it is very rewarding and validating to be recognized by one of the most respected publications in the video industry," said Donna Root, co-founder and chief strategy offier of Jigabot. "That AIMe was able to stand out from the thousands of products on display at CES illustrates that we have built a truly innovative product. We were humbled by the overwhelming response to AIMe at CES, and it is evident that it solves a real pain point for families and extreme sport enthusiasts."

Compatible with many smartphones and cameras, the AIMe mount and tracking system provides a hands-free way to keep a subject perfectly framed while shooting video during recreation, extreme sports and home-life activities. In addition, AIMe is suitable for a variety of educational and medical applications, from recording lectures to filming surgeries in operating rooms.

Jigabot's patent-pending AIMe technology features a robotic device that syncs with a sensor called EmIT®. Users simply attach EmIT to any subject (e.g., a skateboarder, snowboarder, a child playing sports or performing at a recital) and mount AIMe with their smartphone or camera (e.g., iPhones, GoPros, digital cameras under 12 ounces) to automatically track the moving subject. Capable of tracking a subject 360 degrees horizontally and 240 degrees vertically, AIMe simultaneously pans and tilts the camera in real time in response to the subject's movements.

Pricing and Availability

AIMe, packaged with an EmIT sensor, will be available at www.jigabot.com for $299 in June 2014.
