Baidu.com, Avira to Jointly Push PC Faster in Southeast AsiaBEIJING, Dec 05, 2012 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Germany's security software developer Avira announced a few days ago that it had authorized Baidu.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: BIDU) to bind its PC Faster to Avira anti-virus software. PC Faster is a kind of computer acceleration software launched by Baidu.com in Southeast Asian market. The product made its debut in Thailand in July 2012 and was upgraded to 2.0 version on October 16. Statistics show that the software has been downloaded for over 2 million times since it was launched in Thailand and now has 1 million active users in the country. Some analysts reckoned that the cooperation of Baidu.com and Avira had laid a foundation for the former to accelerate the promotion of PC Faster in Southeast Asian market.
