TriZetto appoints new chief medical information officer


Nov 26, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- The TriZetto Group, Inc., a provider of software and IT services, has appointed Jeffrey Rose, as chief medical information officer of its physician markets business unit, a new position that will help TriZetto serve its provider client base and support the company's payer-provider connectivity solutions.



Dr Rose will help enhance the organizations' provider product offerings based on his knowledge of health information technology and clinician needs.

"As TriZetto takes a leading role in enabling providers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective care, Dr Rose's expertise and will be a huge differentiator for TriZetto," said Jeff Rideout, M.D., senior vice president and chief medical officer at TriZetto. "Providers and payers expect and demand the experience and credibility Dr Rose brings to TriZetto and its solution set." Prior to joining TriZetto, Dr Rose served as vice president of clinical excellence and informatics at Ascension Health. In this role, he focused on knowledge management and health information technology for the system, ranging from electronic health records deployment and health information exchange initiatives to enterprise resource planning and clinical data analytics. In addition, he launched the collaborative creation of provider-focused clinical content across multiple care-delivery systems to improve care quality and appropriately narrow practice variation through shared best practices.


He also served as chief medical officer at Cerner Corporation and Health Language, Inc. and authored the book "Medicine and the Information Age," which addressed critical issues in medical practice relative to information technology.
