Intermec Unveils Intermec Beijing Technology Co.Nov 10, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Intermec, Inc. announced Intermec Beijing Technology Co. (Intermec China), a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise (WFOE). According to a release, located in the Haidian district of Beijing, Intermec China will be able to contract with customers directly using the local currency (CNY). It also enables Intermec to import and export goods as well as purchase goods and services for use in and outside of China, and permits Intermec to employ people directly without the use of a government intermediary. "This investment signifies our long-term commitment to China and greatly enhances our capabilities as we expand our presence in one of the world's largest and fastest growing economies," said Al Lauer, Intermec CEO. "We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the business community in China and to work directly with businesses to improve their productivity utilizing Intermec's leading systems and solutions." In addition, Intermec established a new service center located in the Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province and supported by Suzhou Myung Jung Electronics. Intermec China said its business scope will include computer software/hardware technology development, technology transfer, technical consulting, technical services, sales of developed products, economic information consulting, wholesale, import and export of computer software/hardware and accessory equipment, commission agency (except auction), as well as import and export of technology.
