InterMetro selects Solarsoft's production monitoring systemAug 25, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Solarsoft Business Systems, a provider of enterprise software and IT services, has announced that InterMetro, or Metro, a manufacturer of technology, storage and transport solutions in healthcare, food service, commercial and consumer products, has selected Solarsoft's production monitoring and manufacturing execution system for its injection molding facilities in Acuna and Cuauhtemoc, Mexico. Metro has used Solarsoft's Mattec MES for 20 years. Metro will utilize and transfer its Mattec MES best practices to its facilities in Mexico. In addition to production monitoring, Metro uses Mattec MES for mold and equipment preventative maintenance planning, production scheduling, and automated downtime alerting, the company said. "We use Mattec extensively as a continuous improvement tool," says Tim Romantic, Director of Operations at Metro Fostoria.
