Premier Farnell retains Business in the Community Platinum status for third year running

London , Premier Farnell plc (LSE:pfl), today announced that it has achieved Platinum status in Business in the Community's (BiTC) 2012 Corporate Responsibility Index (CRI), the UK's leading voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility, for a third year.
In the last ten years since the CR Index launched there have been substantial shifts in the way that companies integrate responsible business into their operations, along with a growing recognition of the role of business in society and the potential to be a force for good. Achieving Platinum demonstrates that Premier Farnell has integrated corporate responsibility into its business model and has clear sustainability strategies, delivering demonstrable performance.
This accolade was announced on the same day Premier Farnell was once again cited as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for 2011 on the 6th annual list released by New York think tank, the Ethisphere Institute.
