ADVA Optical Networking's Jörg-Peter Elbers, vice president, research & development advanced technology, will be among the speakers at the EPIC symposium, which is hosted at the FTTH Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, on Feb. 24 and 25. Elbers will speak as part of the FTTH Network Technologies session on Feb. 24. At its Lisbon conference, for example, the council will explore both FTTH-enhanced entertainment services (online gaming, broadcast IPTV, high-definition video-on-demand, etc.) and business applications that would enable more European citizens to work from home, thus reducing time spent commuting and contributing to a healthier environment.
