BRIEF: Fresno airport offers free wireless Internet access

Feb 03, 2010 (The Fresno Bee - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Passengers traveling through Fresno Yosemite International Airport can now access the Internet for free from their wireless communication devices.

The airport previously had a pay-for-use wireless service, but it wasn't a success. Passengers didn't want to pay for the service when they would be in and out in less than two hours.

The use of existing hardware and open-source software enables the airport to offer wireless connectivity for free.
