MEETINGZONE LISTED IN THE SUNDAY TIMES MICROSOFT TECH TRACK 100

THAME, Oxon, UK: 21 September, 2009: MeetingZone, the UK's largest independent conferencing and collaboration service provider, today announced that it has been listed as 82nd in yesterday's (20 Sept) The Sunday Times Microsoft (News - Alert) Tech Track 100 annual league table of Britain's fastest growing private technology companies. This is the third consecutive year that MeetingZone has appeared in the Tech Track 100.

"Achieving a place in this year's Tech Track 100 is a great honour for MeetingZone, but achieving a place for the third year in a row is a real endorsement of the strength of our company," says Tim Duffy, MeetingZone’s CEO and co founder.

"MeetingZone has been an extremely consistent high growth company since it was founded in 2002. This is the result of our relentless focus and effort on innovation and quality of service. It has been even more important, in the difficult market conditions that every business has suffered in the past 12 months, for us to differentiate ourselves through our service excellence and friendly and honest approach to business," continued Duffy.

"Despite last year's tough marketplace, MeetingZone grew by 40% and the company’s average growth over the last three years has been an amazing 44%," explained Duffy. MeetingZone's revenues for the last year were £8.2M up from £5.9M in 2008 with new clients being added in Germany, USA and Canada.

Now in its ninth year, The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, sets criteria that companies must meet to be listed. The criteria include: annualised sales having to exceed £250,000 in the base year (2005 or 2006) and £5m in the latest year (2008 or 2009). Companies had to also show an increase in sales in their latest year.

"MeetingZone's increasing customer base continues to be driven by the company's customer focused business model based on the delivery of cost effective, easy to use and reliable, audio and web conferencing services. MeetingZone's key differentiator is its real-time online billing system that has transparency at its core, enabling each of our customers to have total confidence in their bills," added Steve Gandy, COO and co founder of MeetingZone.

As businesses start to emerge from the recession they will likely have less manpower, yet the same volume of business will be expected. Organisations will be forced to work in a more efficient manner and conferencing and collaboration is a proven way to enable more activity with less resource. In addition the obligation of every responsible enterprise to reduce CO2 is very real and conferencing and collaboration has a key role to play in helping all of us travel less and shift our business communications to an electronic form.

"The need to make this shift is rising rapidly and hopefully the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen in December this year, will raise awareness and provide guidelines and leadership that will drive everyone to take action," concluded Duffy.
