Zcom Networks Announces Plans to Launch Satellite and IP TV Broadcast of "Z Channel"

LOS ANGELES, CA, Mar 10, 2009 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Zcom Networks, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: ZCNW) announced today that it is launching "Z Channel" -- a new Satellite and IP TV broadcasting station in Los Angeles, California. Harnessing the power of IP and linking it to the Satellite airing, Zcom will capitalize on its broadcast expertise from program origination to play out, from reformatting and encoding, and unlinking utilizing the broadband IP connection.

"We are in negotiation with a major Satellite provider in the United States with an extensive DTH platform and the leading source of international content. Our goal is to capitalize on integrating Satellite Broadcasting and IP TV while moving to the next technology level, incorporating some of the key shopping networks, marketing, distribution, and advertising know-how that Zcom has developed in the past years. Our coverage zone in the first phase will be North America, which includes USA, Canada, and Mexico with over 5 million viewership. In our second phase, we will include Europe in our coverage, with coverage reaching Asia in our third phase of expansion. We are extremely exited about this project as it has significant potential growth as well as synergies with our existing media business," said Dr. Alex Parsinia, CEO.
