GammaTech Computer Corp., a manufacturer of notebook computers, has debuted two new fully rugged personal computing devices for mobile professionals who work under adverse conditions.

GammaTech's Durabook brand has gained notoriety with its semi-rugged notebook line and is releasing its first fully-rugged PCs at CES.

The Durabook R13S includes an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and can withstand drops, spills, vibrations and dust, while the Durabook RT7V features touch-screen functionality with similar durable functionality. GammaTech showcased the fully rugged models at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show.

Both the R13S and RT7V Tablet, which include revamped Durabook technology, employ magnesium top and bottom cases to protect the devices' LCD and vital internal components, providing sensational resilience within the most adverse working environments. The new models can withstand multiple drops from more than three feet, feature robust spill- and dust-resistant protection, and can handle severe vibration with anti-shock mounting designs around the memory, CPU and Hard Disk components.
