Domestic and International Law Enforcement Have a New Technology to Fight Computer Crime: ICS Launches the Latest Technology in Portable Computer Forensic Devices

CHATSWORTH, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- May 17, 2005 -- Intelligent Computer Solutions Inc., a computer forensic technology company, launched its latest innovation in forensic hard drive duplication, the "Image MASSter Solo 3 Forensic." Full of a number of enhancements, the Image MASSter Solo 3 Forensic (IMSolo 3 Forensic) can duplicate hard drives at speeds over 3GB per minute. Designed exclusively for forensic applications, the IMSolo 3 Forensic design is based on years of experience working with domestic and international law enforcement. As a result, ICS, Inc has produced a lightweight, portable unit that makes seizing data easy to do, more secure, reliable, versatile, and fast.

Like the IMSolo-2 Forensic unit that up until now has been the standard international data acquisition tool for law enforcement, the IMSolo 3 Forensic is a lightweight portable IDE and SATA unit, with the ability to seize SCSI drives along with the ability to capture through Firewire and USB ports. "We created the IMSolo 3 Forensic for law enforcement working offsite during criminal investigations to seize data quickly, efficiently and securely," says Gonen Ravid, founder and CEO of Intelligent Computer Solutions. "The IMSolo 3 Forensic is the most advanced portable computer forensic device available on the market."

The IMSolo 3 Forensic boasts of the following dynamics:

Secure Copy:

By integrating the ICS Drive Lock write-protection device, the IMSolo-3 Forensic unit will protect the Suspect's hard drive from being inadvertently overwritten with data. The Drive Lock function will block all write commands that may be sent to the drive accidentally.

The Biometric Finger Print security option ensures that only authorized users are allowed to operate the unit.

Integrity of the Copy:

The unit can generate an MD5 or CRC32 signature, on-the-fly, guaranteeing the integrity of the data captured without speed degradation. Data integrity is also guaranteed using 100% Data Verification during the copy operation.

Versatility:

The unit's versatility enables the investigator to copy data from various media sources without the need of additional tools. The IMSolo-3 Forensic unit has multiple ports that allow seizure from numerous sources.

Efficiency:

The IMSolo-3 Forensic unit enables the investigator to capture data in a Linux DD format, which is an industry standard.

Ease of Use:

The IMSolo-3 Forensic unit has a large touch-screen display for ease of use. The touch-screen display avoids the need for an additional keyboard and provides for a convenient method of previewing data and viewing event log information.

ICS offers free support for all their Image MASSter products. Continuous software support keeps all of ICS units up to date with emerging technology. ICS provides software upgrades that are easily downloadable from their website or you may contact their tech support team via phone or email.

ICS will be showcasing their latest in hard drive duplication at the GovSEC show in Washington DC, May 25th-26th, at Washington DC Convention Center Booth 1614.
