Convergys Receives Highest Honor as Philippine "BPO Company of the Year"


CINCINNATI & MANILA --(Business Wire)-- Convergys (News - Alert) Corporation (NYSE: CVG), a global leader in relationship management and now the largest private employer in the Philippines, announced today it has won top honors as "BPO Company of the Year," the most sought after recognition at the 2010 International ICT Awards ceremony in Manila.



Since the launch of the awards ceremony in 2007, this is the third International Award the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) community has bestowed on Convergys, which has previously received top honors as the "BPO Employer of the Year".

The judging committee, composed of a diverse group of independent and knowledgeable individuals with extensive experience in the industry, awarded Convergys the prestigious "BPO Company of the Year" award based on its leadership, size, diversity, commitment to continuous improvement, corporate social responsibility involvement, and its active support of the international information and communication technology industry in the Philippines.


Organized annually by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, the prestigious award "promotes the work and achievements of companies, individuals, and the overall industry to the Philippine and international business community." Vice President and Country Manager Marife Zamora personally accepted the award and praised Convergys' 20,000 employees in the Philippines.
