: siptel chosen as finalist for The British Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards 2011Mar 31, 2011 (M2 PRESSWIRE via COMTEX) -- Steve Rasmussen of siptel staves off tough competition to be short listed in the Sales Professional of the Year category in a record year for entries The British Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards ( BESMA ), sponsored by The Telegraph Media Group and organised by the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management, represents the UK 's highest level of recognition for outstanding sales achievement. siptel's entry for Steve Rasmussen was in the Sales Professional of the Year category and Rasmussen was short-listed from a record number of entries this year. Rasmussen founded siptel in 2003 and has been Sales and Marketing Director for the past seven years, winning SME and enterprise business with many blue chip clients. Rasmussen had no trouble detailing his sales technique, with an excellent track record in negotiation and objection handling, as well as the ability to close the sale and gain referrals. Following a rigorous Judging Day on 18 th March 2011, finalists had to conduct a 30 minute interview in a role play environment, in front of a panel of judges, from which a winner will be selected.
