September 11, 2014

A new report says Puerto Rico’s prominent call center company, Laurus International, is organizing a job fair in the town of San Juan de la Maguana, in partnership with the Consejo Nacional de Zona Franca. The company has invited job seekers in the age group of 18 to 58 to attend the event.

Both job seekers and recruiters find career fairs extremely helpful. Career fairs provide the recruiters with opportunities to find top talent in a single place, while for the job seekers, a career fair is something that gets them one step closer to their dream job. A seasoned recruiter, Laurus decided to go with this time-tested path, in order to fill up as many as 3,500 positions in its third call center in the country.

Laurus International provides an array of global and multi-functional outsource services. Its full array of domestic, near-, and off-shore call center and business process solutions are used by Fortune 100 corporations, private enterprises, local and international government agencies worldwide. In delivering superior customer service, the company puts equal emphasis on technology and human resources.

In response to its growing clientele, the company decided to expand its operations to the southwestern province, Laurus President Rudy Ganna said in a statement. Accordingly the company has launched this huge recruitment drive.

With a hefty annual pay package, the jobs offer lucrative opportunities for those contemplating a career in customer care.

Opening Friday, September 19, the job fair will continue through the weekend at the UASD University campus in San Juan, the company said on its website.

The lure of competitive salary is likely to attract the city’s best talents to the event. The job candidates have been requested to register online ahead of time.
