Aragon Research Names Altocloud a Hot Vendor

Altocloud, a software company, recently announced that Aragon Research, a technology-focused research and advisory firm, has named the company a Hot Vendor in Sales Enablement, in its new report: Hot Vendors in Sales Enablement, 2014.

“For today‘s CMO, marketing and sales lead-capture processes have become extremely results focused and data driven,” said Kara Wilson, CMO of FireEye and an advisor to Altocloud. “However, the live moments of person-to-person communication are often disconnected from these initiatives. Altocloud is bringing data analytics and outcome-driven decision making to sales communications allowing CMOs and sales executives to further optimize these processes.”

Altocloud uses JavaScript and mobile SDKs to allow developers to embed Altocloud’s analytics and voice, video and chat into mobile and Web applications. The analytics can look at what users actually do compared to what the system suggests they do, such as clicking on a video or following a customer service agent’s recommendation.

According to officials from Altocloud, the company works towards its mission to make customer contact more human by delivering personalized experiences, smarter interactions, faster resolution and satisfied customers to your business. The company wants to empower and improve both human interaction, and the exchange of “in the moment” information between customers and companies, without brands having to invest in additional technology infrastructure or complex systems.

In related news, Altocloud recently announced that Barry O’Sullivan, formerly of Cisco, has joined as co-founder and CEO. Before joining Altocloud, O’Sullivan served VP/GM of Cisco’s contact center business, as well as heading the company’s unified communications and VoIP businesses.
