Contact Centers Join the Fight-JITC Certifies T-Metrics Contact Center on Microsoft Lync 2013

November 21, 2014

It may come as a bit of a surprise to some that contact center solutions not only play an increasingly important role in all aspects of enterprise efforts to improve customer experiences, but also play a vital role in effectuating rapid response capabilities for the military. This is highlighted by the an announcement from contact center solutions provider that  the Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) has certified the T-Metrics Contact Center v6.0 to work on Microsoft Lync 2013.

The JITC is not just any organization which is why this certification is of note. JITC provides risk-based Test Evaluation & Certification services, tools, and environments to ensure Joint Warfighting IT capabilities are interoperable and support mission needs. Its mission is to provide a full range of rapid, standardized and customized test, evaluation, and certification services to support global net-centric warfighting capabilities under all conditions of peace and war.

For the last 10 years, T-Metrics has designed, developed, and deployed numerous approved products on APLITS (Approved Products List Integrated Tracking System. As of today, T-Metrics is the only provider of contact center software that has been JITC certified to work on Microsoft Lync 2013, and their solution can be found on the Approved Products List (APL) for purchase by Department of Defense organizations at www.disa.mil/ucco.

This is a nice feather in the cap for T-Metrics whose worldwide customer base includes organizations in such vertical markets as hospitals, state and local governments, colleges and universities, banks, small and large corporations and in the military.  An omni-channel solutions provider, the Company provides its contact center software to users of Microsoft Lync, GENBAND, Cisco, Avaya, NEC, Mitel, Siemens, and Alcatel-Lucent 5ESS line of switches.

The old saying that “all is fair in love and war” seems apropos here. Contact center solutions not only are for commerce, but as can be seen from this certification are important in war fighting preparedness and rapid response as well.
