October 08, 2014

Customers today are becoming more demanding and every business is forced to adopt smart ways to help meet rising customer expectations. Recently, American outsourcing firm CGS, has inaugurated its new office in the city of Targu Jiu Romania, to keep up with the customers demand for more number of multilingual and technical team.

Officials at CGS said they chose Targu Jiu as their new location to diversify the labor market where from they recruit their employees, and at the same time, to support an area in which the private sector is more poorly developed compared to others.

Speaking on this occasion, Tom Christenson, President of Contact Center Solutions at CGS said that their company’s strategic growth in multiple Romanian cities enables them to deliver superior multilingual, geographically redundant customer support solutions for their clients.

The new office will soon be filled with new employees who will cater to the needs of customers in European and U.S. markets. The company plans to hire 250 to 300 employees over the next two years to provide multilingual customer care, technical support, telesales, helpdesk and other business process outsourcing services for some of the world’s largest companies.

“Romania is capable of servicing the world because of the talent of the people. We’ve made major investments into our Romanian operations, and hope to continue to provide long-term career opportunities for our Romanian employees,” said Phil Friedman, President and CEO of CGS.

The company is looking out for employees who meet the multinational standards and have proficiency in foreign languages. They should possess strong technical skills and wide spread knowledge in business process outsourcing services.

To go further with their expansion plans and hiring, Friedman, along with Vladimir Sterescu, Romania Country Manager and Senior VP of Customer Support Solutions, interacted with the local Romanian government and university officials.

Founded in New York in 1984, CGS currently serves customers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
